We know that dogs are more than just a pet in your home - they’re part of the family. So if you’ve got a furry friend to consider when making your day plans, rest assured there are plenty of places to bring them along for a day trip to the Swan Valley.
Located in Caversham, you won’t want to miss out on the chance to feel like you have stepped into a little piece of France at Maison Saint-Honore. Choose from a selection of authentic French desserts, including macarons and cakes, or try the signature ultimate sweet treat – a macaron and salted caramel ice cream sandwich. Families will love the child-friendly garden with garden toys, cubbyhouse and a sandpit, with dogs welcome in all outdoor areas.
Being one of the state’s premier wine and gourmet food dynasties, Lamont’s Winery is the perfect destination to bring your friendly dog. Enjoy the atmosphere of relaxed, friendly dining as you sample the wine menu, and even enjoy a complimentary glass of Lamont’s wines at the Cellar Door on weekends.
You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a spot for a quick drink with your pup in the Valley!
Enjoy the relaxed vibes of the warm and friendly cellar door at Windy Creek, which is set amongst the vines in beautiful gardens with the Darling Ranges as a very scenic backdrop. Cheese tastings and a range of homemade jams, marmalades and relishes are also available at the cellar door.
Rustic charm overlooking the scenic vines awaits at Ugly Duckling, with premium wines, coupled with old-fashioned service and a friendly smile is what you’ll get at this popular spot that welcomes dogs in the outdoor dining area.
Brewing is widely renowned for their perfectly brewed drinks and family friendly atmosphere. The roomy restaurant tavern opens to a sprawling dog-friendly verandah and native-bush garden, at the centre of which you’ll find an 850sqm nature playground for pint-sized family members to jump, climb and explore. Note dogs are only permitted at the venue during weekdays.
The cellar door here is full of old-style charm and character, with Anthony and Robyn behind the counter ready to offer you tastings of wine, gourmet cheeses and olives. Have the friendly team assemble a grazing board and pour a glass of your favourite wine to enjoy at one of the outdoor benches with your pooch in tow, overlooking the relaxing vines.
Family and dog friendly, these relaxing trails sprawling through the banksia bushland can be enjoyed by everyone! Once done exploring, stop for a coffee or enjoy a picnic. The perfect place for your furry best friend to stretch their legs is an enclosed dog park that contains an obstacle course designed especially in colours that the dogs can see! Catering to all sized dogs, there is even a separate play area for small dogs under 10kg.
Located in Viveash along the banks of the Swan River, this lively walk trail is perfect for a morning walk with your four legged friend! It includes walk and cycle trails that link it to Woodbridge Riverside Park, with some stunning picnic spots for the family along the way.
