Dining out with the whole family is a breeze in the Swan Valley with many spacious restaurants, breweries and cafes offering dedicated kids' play areas and menus.
Bailey Brewing Co. and Sandalford Wines feature stunning grounds and beautiful play areas for the kids.
Pasta in the Valley offers mini chef classes, a generous kids menu, colouring in and a shaded playground.
Swan Valley Station is home to an expansive playground, friendly farm animals and a Marron Lake surrounded by a free sculpture trail that makes for an interesting stroll after a morning or afternoon visit. For a more relaxed lunch, check out Txoko Brewing, a local favourite for a casual meal overlooking the vines with a great playground on site.
For kid-friendly cafes you can't go wrong at Maison Saint Honore, Whistler's Chocolate Co and Cafe and Yahava Koffeeworks.
Explore all of the places to eat and drink.
The Swan Valley is a chocolate lover's wonderland. With free entry, free tastings and hundreds of mouthwatering chocolates on offer, a visit to Whistler's Chocolate Co. and The Margaret River Chocolate Company is a firm fixture on every little person's wish list.
You'll find loads of traditional favourites, from rocky road to handmade honeycomb, as well as other choccy inspired treats that will leave everyone's tummies rumbling for more.
Pssst, Mums and dads - you'll find two fab cafes and expansive outdoor areas at both venues.
Explore the great outdoors of the Swan Valley and make some furry friends.
Caversham Wildlife Park showcases many of Australia’s unique native animals, providing visitors with the opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos, pose for a pic with the koalas and meet a hairy-nosed wombat. Alongside its native fauna, Caversham Wildlife Park is also home to Molly's Farm, an interactive farmyard experience where visitors can feed the buffalo, llama, deer and other animals.
A visit to the Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm provides children (and adults too!) with the opportunity to experience the joy of interacting with friendly farmyard animals such as cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and many more. Daily feeding times allow visitors to get hands-on with bottle- or bucket-feeding.
At the WA Reptile Park visitors can interact with some scalier customers including lizards, pythons and snakes.
Heading out on The Vines Resort Kangaroo Safari affords tour participants an up close view of the local mob lounging on the Resort's golf course.
The vast expanse of Whiteman Park is home to hundreds of different animal, bird and plant species which can be explored via the Children's Forest, the Woodland Reserve and multiple bush walking trails.
The Swan Valley has a range of golf options that everyone can play, which means fabulous fun for the whole family!
Supa Golf & Supa Putt is set in stunning landscaped grounds and the longer version, Supa Golf, involves a modified form of traditional golf using larger clubs and balls made of softer material. What this means is while the ball travels no further than 100m, the essence of traditional golf remains! Add a putting cup 2.5 times larger than a traditional golf hole and even the little ones will be showing Tiger Woods how it's done.
For the mini golf aficionados there's the beautifully landscaped Vines Mini Golf at the picturesque Vines Resort, Supa Putt at the aforementioned Supa Golf venue, and a fun course at The Taphouse at Mulberry Estate.
Whether you're in the mood for ice cream, cake, macarons or nougat - there are plenty of delicious desserts to discover during your next visit to the Swan Valley.
Cool off on a hot day with Mondo Nougat's revered traditional gelati, or exquisite honey ice cream and cakes from the Sticky Spoon Cafe at The House of Honey. For even more options check out The Grape Place (in summer), SubZero Gelato and Swan Valley Station who all offer their own mouthwatering range. Midland's iconic Junction Icecreamery stocks 12 flavours at Harvey Cheese Swan Valley. And in Guildford, you'll find some fabulous flavours at Mimmo's Gourmet Gelato.
Make sure to sample Maison Saint-Honore's signature macarons available in a whole range of exciting flavours. For those looking for gluten-free or Coeliac-friendly delights Champagne and Gumboots specialise in delicious gluten-free baked sweet treats.
For the more adventurous spirits, there are a bunch of attractions in the Swan Valley to get the heart pumping and the adrenaline racing. Check out super fast water slides at Outback Splash, experience a paintball battle at PaintBall Skirmish Perth, laser tag mission at Laser Corps or axe throwing at Maxed Out Axe Throwing - the choice is yours!
