Joey's Swan Valley Diner

Joeys Swan Valley Diner
Photo 1/1

Five reasons to love Joey’s Swan Valley Diner: One, it’s open most weekdays from 6.30 am (a little later at weekends). Two, it serves locally-roasted coffee, burgers, luscious milkshakes and soft-serve ice cream. Three, it has a drive-through. Four, there’s a play area complete with sandpit, toys and plenty of grass where the mini-me can let off steam. And five, there’s an al fresco area complete with fire pit for cooler weather.

Owners Glen and Mel Wareing offer a range of classic American-style burgers that tick all the boxes – southern fried chicken with slaw and aioli, a hamburger made from local beef and a classic Reuben sandwich on rye. There’s even a gluten free bun option.

Also on offer is possibly the biggest brekky burger in the valley – The Joey, featuring double bacon, double egg, cheese, tomato and red onion jam.

Look out for the diner’s retro pink and white façade as you head along Great Northern Highway.
