Vintage bus and train rides and the State's only operational heritage electric tram are just some of the many attractions to keep visitors young and old entertained at Whiteman Park.

Entry to this unique conservation and recreation reserve on the doorstep of the Swan Valley is free.

The park encompasses a massive 3,700 hectares of natural bushland within which lie vast picnic grounds, playgrounds, bushwalk trails, a craft village and even a dog park (with a separate enclosure for small dogs).

The park is also home to not one, but three fantastic State transport museums - a motor museum, a tractor museum and Western Australia's only land transport museum, Revolutions.

Nature lovers will enjoy seeing native animals at night in Woodland Reserve, a predator-proof 500-hectare rehabilitated woodland sanctuary, children can learn about the importance and beauty of Western Australia's native bushland in the Children's Forest and everyone enjoys a visit to Caversham Wildlife Park.

Please note

  • Park open every day of the year with hours of 9am to 5pm on Christmas Day (picnic areas only, no attractions)
