Get on board The Great Valley Rally, a thrilling and free scavenger hunt where you and your fellow explorers can follow Stirling the Black Swan’s cryptic clues along a specific route in the Valley.

Designed for families with children aged five to 12 years old, the trail begins at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre and takes around three hours to complete.

There are two ways you can experience the rally:

1. Online

Simply click on the button below and you'll be taken to Facebook Messenger. From there, you'll be able to register the day you plan to do the rally and receive further information on the next steps. Note: You'll need a Facebook Messenger account to participate in the rally using this method.

2. On paper

Print out the clue sheet or collect one from the Swan Valley Visitor Centre and track your way through the Swan Valley the old-fashioned way.

Before you go:

Safety:

Don't forget to buckle up, and keep to the speed limits. Make sure you've assigned a navigator to use the phone if doing the digital version of the rally - don't drive while using your mobile phone.

You might also need: sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, water.

Duration:

We recommend departing before 12pm. It takes approximately 3 hours to complete. It's not a race, so you can take as much time as you need. If you don't finish today, you can come back and finish on another day.

Top tips:

Public toilets are located at the Visitor Centre and at a couple of Rally stops as indicated on the clue sheet.

Dogs on leads are welcome.

Hours:

The paper and online Messenger versions of the Great Valley Rally can be done every day of the year. Both versions start and finish at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre, which is open seven days, 9am - 4pm.
