Continuing their pursuit of funky flavours, the brothers behind Caversham’s House of Funk, Dustin and Martin Michael have a second venue in the Swan Valley, Funk Brewshed.
Described as a fermentary, visitors to Funk Brewshed can discover a new-world approach to craft beer, hybrids, cider and wine. All creations are unpasteurised, as well as preservative, concentrate and sulphur-free, with no added sugar.
The vibrant new space features indoor and outdoor seating with a bar fitted out with WA’s largest beer tap. 18 taps serve up a healthy rotation of ciders, beers and project hybrids offering plenty of experimental limited edition flavours to sample on your next visit.
The Funk Brewshed kitchen boasts sophisticated but approachable pub food, designed by chef Cole Hall, to be matched perfectly with Funk’s beverages. Expect hearty plates including cauliflower fried in cider batter with chilli and spring onions or the lamb shoulder served in cider jus. The majority of dishes are gluten free with vegan/vegetarian options available.
Funk Cidery & Brewery Tour is the chance to check out the action behind the scenes at WA’s funkiest cidery and brewery! Tour the state-of-the-art production shed at Funk Brewshed with one of the funkcionado team members to embark on a journey of how drinks are made at Funk and enjoy a Perth Cider while at it.
