Founded in 1956, this family-owned winery produces award-winning premium boutique red and white wines, and specialises in bottle-fermented, traditional method sparkling styles. These are made from chardonnay and, more unusually, semillon, chenin blanc, shiraz and merlot.
Winemaker Peter Garbin (son of founder Duje Garbin), wife Katrina and sons Joel and Adam have a philosophy of hands-on premium winemaking coupled with personal service. Their fruit is sourced from estate vineyards in Gingin and the Swan Valley, and grown with low chemical inputs and no pesticides.
The Garbin's also produce the rich, traditional fortified styles for which the valley is justly famous. Watch out for their award-winning verdelho as well as a limited release sangiovese, available from cellar door and online.
This charming winery is ideally located at the eastern end of the valley, close to airports, restaurants and accommodation.
