Upper Reach Winery

If red wine is your thing, no trip to the Valley would be complete without tasting Derek Pearse’s award-winning reserve shiraz.

Derek and wife Laura believe that wine is one of life’s essentials, along with family, friends and good food. This philosophy is reflected in their beautiful vineyard on the banks of the Swan River, with an elevated cellar door, restaurant and deck offering unparalleled views of the vines and surrounding countryside.

Using estate-grown fruit, the Pearses create wines that are fresh, vibrant and full flavoured, each reflecting the vintage and the vineyard.

Come meet the people who actually grow the grapes and make the wine, take a stroll and follow the walk trail through the vines, or book a private tour of the winery and vineyard.

From Thursday to Monday, enjoy lunch in the bistro-style restaurant or alternatively, on weekends, the TreeHouse Pizza Bar is open for a more relaxed vibe on the deck.

For the ultimate indulgence, escape to Upper Reach’s Spa Cottage, built in 1907 and surrounded by vines.

Please note unfortunately pets are no longer able to visit the venue.

NB: The hours and other information on this page relates to the cellar door only
