This much-admired producer of gloriously complex and rare muscats is also one of the region’s oldest, offering small quantities of elegant, full-flavoured wines made from old vines and new.

Winemaker, Arch Kosovich is a third-generation winemaker, following on from his father John and grandfather Ivan, who emigrated from Croatia shortly before the outbreak of World War 1. Ivan and his brothers established the winery in 1922, and the atmospheric underground cellar and tasting area was dug by them with help from neighbours and their trusty draft horses.

John took over the winemaking at the tender age of 15 and went on to become one of the valley’s most awarded winemakers, receiving the Order of Australia medal in 1995 for his contribution to the wine industry.

Arch continues the tradition, carefully crafting the wines and bringing modern flair whilst retaining the values and standards that have been synonymous with Kosovich wines for many decades.
