Harris Organic Wine & Spirits

Harris wines
Photo 1/1

Who knew that the Swan Valley was home to Perth’s only certified organic winery and Australia’s only certified organic brandy distillery?

Make your way past the friendly cat and free-range chickens to the cellar door of this small boutique winery and enjoy a seated tasting of organic wine or spirits with winemaker and owner Duncan Harris (a tasting fee applies, redeemable against wine purchases).

At the winery’s two-hectare organic vineyard, at the northern end of the Swan Valley, Duncan produces red, white, fortified and sparkling wine styles, all made with natural yeasts and a minimum of additives and preservatives.

The grapes are irrigated only by what they receive from the sky and Duncan never uses any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilisers. He is also licensed to distil spirits, and sells his organic vodka, brandy and gin at the cellar door and online, with shipping available worldwide.

You can learn how organic wine and brandy are made with a guided walking tour past the vineyard, underground cellar and winery or distillery, finishing with a taste of some of the very best of Duncan's certified organic dry white, red, fortified wines or spirits.
