Bright Press

Bright press printer at work
Photo 1/1

In the era of the microchip, Bright Press produces high-quality work using traditional methods and is Perth’s only working letterpress museum. It is a unique and independent Western Australian small business with a large collection of working vintage printing presses and equipment.

Bright Press launched in 2019 from what was formerly the Whiteman Park Print Shop. Current owner, Ann Ong learned her craft whilst working with former owner, Phil Everitt, a printer with over 50 years of experience. Upon Phil's retirement, Ann jumped at the chance to continue being an ambassador for the printing craft.

Ann is passionate about the history of printing and specialises in the traditional craft of letterpress printing. Bright Press’s mission is to help spread the love of letterpress printing and to keep the craft, the stories and the printing presses alive.

Visit to witness the presses in action or browse the range of printed stationery and souvenirs available for purchase.

Workshops are on offer and bookings for school and community group excursions are welcome.

Please note

  • Open 10am - 4pm public holidays (closed Christmas Day)
  • Closed on the Wednesday following a public holiday
