The Swan Valley is packed with beaut picnic spots perfect for communal outdoor eating with family and friends.

Head to the Valley for some fresh air and to indulge in a romantic graze with your loved ones.

Bells Rapids

A walk bridge spanning the Swan River over the white rapids makes this an exciting viewing spot during the Avon Descent.

Fishmarket Reserve

A ripper riverside spot to have a barbecue or just take in the tranquil surrounds. As well as being a popular picnic ground, it is a great spot for fishing or canoeing. There is a boat ramp suitable for launching small boats, canoes or kayaks.

F R Berry Reserve

This natural bush reserve is the perfect distance for a day trip from Perth. It has become more popular in recent years due to its unspoilt bushland values.

Kings Meadow Reserve

An attractive riverside spot with great facilities for family picnics. Kings Meadow boasts riverside BBQs in a picnic area where Helena River runs into the Swan River.

Lilac Hill Park

Best known for its international standard cricket facilities, Lilac Hill has the added bonus of a stunning riverside pocket perfect for family picnics. Lilac Hill is located on the north side of Barkers Bridge, heading out from Guildford on West Swan Road.

Maali Bridge Park

A beautiful picnic spot right on the river’s edge in the heart of the Swan Valley’s vineyards.

Middle Swan Reserve

One of the most popular parks in the City. A handy riverside location with amenities such as tables, BBQs and toilets for your day out. Wheelchair access. Close to vineyards and wineries with restaurants and cafes.

Noble Falls

A very popular spot in a lovely bush setting near the Gidgegannup townsite with all amenities and the Noble Falls Tavern located nearby. Go for a bushwalk on the trail and see wildflowers during winter and spring. The falls are best seen after winter rains. BBQs and picnic tables available.

Reg Bond Reserve

This reserve, tucked away on a bend in the Swan River, is perfect for a secluded day out with the family. Links with Woodbridge Riverside Park via the John George walk trail.

Stirling Square

A recently refurbished picturesque park that is one point of interest on a self-guided walk through historic Guildford. St Matthew’s Church and other cultural attractions provide links to Guildford’s pioneering past.

Walyunga National Park

Walyunga National Park contains one of the largest known Aboriginal campsites around Perth and was still in use by the Nyoongar people late last century. The area has been used as a meeting place for more than 6000 years.

Whiteman Park

A popular recreation and conservation reserve that is a whopping 10 times larger than Kings Park, Whiteman Park is packed with facilities, events and attractions for the whole family.

Woodbridge Riverside Park

The riverside area has been a favourite spot with locals for many years and is now complemented with playground equipment and picnic facilities. Links with Reg Bond Reserve via the John George walk trail.

Yagan Memorial Park

The Yagan Memorial Park was initiated by Derbal Yerrigan Committee for the Reburial of Yagan's Kaat (head).
