Whether it’s for Valentine’s Day, a special occasion, or just because, the stunning surrounds of the Swan Valley make a beautiful backdrop for a little romance with a special someone. Here’s how we recommend you spend a romantic day out in the Valley.

Itinerary Day 1

Step 1.11.00am: Sandalford Wines

Spark up the romance and roll into the picture perfect Sandalford Wines, one of Western Australia's oldest, largest and most distinguished producers of premium wine. Enjoy a wine tasting in the impressive surrounds of the winery and restaurant and revel in the views of the vineyards and countryside.

 

Step 2.12.00pm: Wild Swan @ Mandoon

Head over to the beautifully manicured grounds of Mandoon Estate and settle in for lunch at the contemporary fine-dining restaurant, Wild Swan. Enjoy the modern and innovative a la carte and tasting menus using the finest local and seasonal produce. Pair lunch with one of their award-winning wines or craft beers.

 

Step 3.2.00pm: Margaret River Chocolate Co. 

Cap of your romantic day with something sweet, and what better place is there to do that than at Margaret River Chocolate Co? Choose from chocolate fondues, coffees or decadent cakes to enjoy on the café balcony overlooking the grassy surrounds.

 

Step 4.3.00PM: Rose and Crown (optional overnight stay) 

Extend your special day together and consider booking an overnight stay in one of the refurbished Heritage Suites at Rose and Crown in Guildford. Check-in and take some time to relax and freshen up before a sumptuous dinner at the hotel’s intimate Posh Convict Restaurant.

Itinerary Day 2

10:00am Padbury's Cafe and Restaurant

Wake up, check-out and head across the road to indulge in Padbury's glorious all-day menu. Discover their famous lemon meringue pancakes or enjoy breakfast classics such as smashed avo and eggs benedict. Walk off brekky and browse the delightful stores nearby and along the James Street antique strip in Guildford.
