Itinerary - Day 1

Step 1.10.00am: Padbury's

Start off the day at Padbury’s, located in a beautiful historic building. Fuel up with a barista coffee, or if you skipped breakfast, why not stay for brunch? Settle in for some classics or get a little adventurous and try out a stack of Padbury’s famous lemon meringue pancakes.

Step 2.11.00am: Walk Trail

Enjoy some fresh air and up your step count with one of the four Heritage Walk Trails. Take in Guildford’s historical sites amongst quaint surroundings, and learn all about the town’s fascinating past along the way. All trails start and end at the Old Guildford Courthouse, now home of the Swan Valley Visitor Centre, where the staff will happily help you choose which trail to try out.

Step 3.12.00pm: Shopping

Head on over to James Street for a world of retail discovery. From exquisite candles and quirky gifts to fabulous furniture, you'll be spoiled for choice as you get your retail fix while sauntering down Guildford's historic strip.

Step 4.1.00pm: Guildford Hotel

Once all of the walking has worked up a healthy appetite, make your way to the beautifully restored Guildford Hotel for a hearty pub lunch with a twist. Pea and ham hock croquettes, cheeseburger spring rolls or sticky pork baos anyone? Settle in for an afternoon bevvy in the courtyard or people-watch from the terrace.

Step 5.3.00pm: Stirling Arms Hotel

Head on down the road, to yet another one of Guildford’s well-restored landmarks. Originally built in 1852, “The Stirlo" offers friendly service, casual dining and delightfully renovated accommodation. If you are lucky you'll also catch some live music. With a choice of modern studios, suites and spacious apartments check in for a little R&R before dinner (accommodation bookings required).

Step 6.7.00pm: Rose and Crown

Ready for dinner and drinks? Take a short stroll over to the heritage-listed Rose and Crown, the oldest hotel in WA. The venue features indoor and outdoor restaurants offering a range of delicious meals to suit every taste, and the atmospheric beer garden includes WA’s oldest rose bush. Bookings recommended.

Itinerary - Day 2

10.00am: Little Guildford

Check out of your room and face a new day with the help of Little Guildford’s delightful setting and delicious breakfast menu.  Opt to dine al fresco in the courtyard for a unique blend of natural scenery and smooth coffee. Surrounded by a herb and flower garden, the courtyard is a popular year-round dining space, kept cosy by pillar heaters. A great end to your 24 hour Guildford discovery.
