We know the formula for a successful coffee catch up with kids; a decent cup of coffee for the parents, and a playground or activity space for kids to enjoy while you indulge in some uninterrupted adult conversation. Whether you’re looking for a kid-friendly cafe or a park with a good cuppa close by, there is no shortage of options in the beautiful surrounds of the Swan Valley that will keep everyone happy, only 25 minutes from Perth.

Whiteman Park

It's in the perfect location to grab a cuppa and snack and head on over to the expansive play area for the kids to let off some steam.

The Village Cafe, located in the northern part of Whiteman Park, is open daily and offers a delicious menu available for dining in or takeaway. With the mini pool and playground just opposite, it’s a convenient spot for parents of young kids to catch up while the little ones enjoy a play.

There are tonnes of things to explore outside - kids can run amok in the big, shaded playground and meet the friendly farm animals before you check out the brand new Marron Lake and Sculpture Trail.

The Chocolate Cafe serves amazing sundaes, cakes, good value meals and house-made ice cream. Expansive lawns for kids to roam free and the picturesque outdoor deck make it a great place for a relaxing playdate.
