Guided by Sandalford's knowledgeable cellar door staff, winery tour guests experience a behind-the-scenes tour of the working winery, including red and white red fermentation areas and the barrel room. Following your tour, a comprehensive wine appreciation session will take you step-by-step through evaluating and enjoying wine. A one hour experience, the tour operates Wednesday to Sunday at 10.30am. A fabulous group activity or team-building experience for corporate or social groups where you create your own wine blend under the guidance of an experienced Sandalford Cellar Door specialist.The tour begins with a short film about the Estate's history and its vineyards, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour from the suspended walkways and platforms of the operational winery. You will learn about the winemaking process and the reasons a winemaker may opt to blend a wine from different varieties and regions.Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to put your new-found knowledge to the test, individually creating your own original blend of wine to be judged by your instructor. The Ultimate Sandalford winemaking experience includes a short film about Sandalford’s unique history followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery.
