The spirit of the Swan Valley was formed long before the vines were planted, our Wadjuk Noongar people living off and caring for the land for generations.
In recent years, some of the bush foods that they revered have become part of the mainstream culinary scene, their distinctive flavours a sought after addition to fine fare.
Join champion distiller James Young, for an insight into his use of native botanicals in his award-winning spirits at Old Young’s Distillery then enjoy a bush tucker infused cheese and preserve pairing at The Cheese Barrel.
In an exquisite finale, join native food expert Dale Tilbrook from Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery for a mystery box masterclass of bush food canapes, storytelling and a long table feast among the trees at Bells Rapids (weather permitting).
