DAY 1
Meet the koalas, hand feed kangaroos and milk the cows. This is your chance to say hello to the wildlife, take as many photos as you like and to enjoy a walk in the great outdoors at Caversham Wildlife Park.
Discover one of the Valley's newest breweries, which celebrates life's simplest pleasures - good food, good beer and good times together. Find a spot to settle in for a classic Aussie pub lunch in the roomy restaurant tavern or sprawling verandah overlooking the native-bush garden, and sample the range of simple yet flavourful beers brewed fresh behind the bar.
Drop by Lancaster’s famous outdoor tasting shed and sample a wide range of premium wines including a shiraz made from some of the oldest vines in the Swan Valley in this picturesque, rustic, and friendly space. On offer are various whites and reds along with a sparkling style and a standout sticky shiraz. Take a bottle or two home with you if you fancy.
Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth at WA's largest chocolate factory. An additional outlet to the one in Margaret River, the Swan Valley location features free entry and chocolate tastings, along with viewing windows to watch the products being made. Browse the full range of specially-crafted chocolate products before enjoying coffee and cake on the cafe balcony.
Check in to your home for the night and relax at this award-winning hotel located within a stone’s throw of Mandoon Estate’s famous brewery and winery. Beautifully appointed hotel rooms and suites overlook historic verdelho vines and the banks of the Swan River. A good opportunity to crack open some of those take-home goodies from the afternoon and work up that appetite for dinner.
Walk on over to for a relaxed dinner at Mandoon's Homestead Brewery. Led by highly regarded and much awarded head brewer, Steven Wearing, the brewery offers a selection of unique beers and ciders along with bar and table seating, relaxed lounges and outside dining on the deck offering an incredible view of the vineyards. Choose from a tapas-style menu designed by executive chef, Michael Hartnell, who works with the brewers to ensure the food and brews are mutually complementary.
DAY 2
Once you're ready to check out of your accommodation and face the day, head over for brunch at the Swan Valley's iconic French patisserie, Maison Saint-Honore. No-one does breakfast quite like the French. Think hand-made pastries, freshly baked croissants filled with poached eggs, ham and creamy mushroom sauce and, of course, seriously good coffee to satisfy your appetite and gear you up for the journey home.
