For those after a slightly less formal dining experience and with no bookings required, the winery’s latest addition will fit the bill. The Nest is a smaller, more upbeat take on the restaurant proper, offering imaginative, produce-driven breakfasts, lunches and desserts, or just a glass of wine or coffee.
From croquettas and confit lamb pie to various share platters and desserts, there’s something for everyone. Over a dozen Sittella wines are available by the glass, along with many more by the bottle.
Enjoy a sip of sparkling wine on the verandah as you take in the vineyard views, or try a drop of sticky with the olde English custard tart. Either way, Simon and Maaike Berns' tranquil, hilltop winery will enchant you.
