The Jenkins family invites you to taste a range of traditionally-made small batch wines and handcrafted cider, full of unique character. Lloyd and Jacqueline Jenkins sell their wines by the glass or bottle, along with a range of wine-friendly food including tasting plates, cheese platters, home-made gourmet olives and wood-fired pizzas.
The cellar door opened in 2014 but the property’s fig tree – and namesake – has been around for over 100 years.
Lloyd grows most of his own grapes, hand-picking, basket pressing and open fermenting his wines the traditional way. The reds and chardonnay are then aged for at least 12 months on oak, resulting in fine wines of great structure and flavour.
All ciders are made from quality whole fruit which is crushed, pressed, fermented and bottled with no artificial sweeteners, for an all-natural taste experience.
Lloyd and Jacqueline pride themselves on offering visitors excellent customer service and a memorable winery experience. You’re welcome to stay awhile and enjoy the peaceful surrounds, excellent wines and fine cider – and don't forget to say hello to Ruby and Marley the resident Labradors and Monte the cat!
