The original Victorian homestead and stables of this historic Swan Valley farm are home to a bar and bistro serving international and local beers, wines and cocktails. The food here is unpretentious, very reasonably priced and designed for sharing – from tapas and wood-fired pizza to a big range of pub grub classics.
There’s a delightful Australiana vibe here – one set of toilets is made from water tanks – and lots of open space for the kids to run around in.
If you’d like to stay over, Getaways is a quirky, peaceful adult retreat built on the foundations of the farm’s old stables with its own entrance and gardens, as well as a communal pool area. There are six boutique rooms, each with a queen or king bed, a compact lounge, large bathroom and private terrace.
Also available is a self-contained, three bedroom house called ‘The Bush Shack’ with its own spa bath and private front and rear gardens.
