2019 Singapore Airlines Swan Valley Wine Show winners

There were a number of big winners at the annual Singapore Airlines Swan Valley Wine Show, one of the premier regional wine shows in Western Australia.

Trophies were handed out at the Awards Dinner on Friday 8 November at Mandoon Estate.

RiverBank Estate was a big winner, taking home prizes for Best Sparkling Wine, Best Rosé, Best Non-Greater Perth Zone Red Wine and Most Successful Producer.

Best Verdelho went to Garbin Estate and the Best 2019 Dry White Wine of Show was awarded to Black Swan Wines for their Classic White.

Reds were represented by Corymbia, being named the Best Red Wine Blend and the award for Best Shiraz or Shiraz Dominant Blend went to Oakover Grounds for their 2017 Clockwork Shiraz.

John Kosovich's Chenin Blanc took home three trophies for Best White Wine or Blend (other than Verdelho), Singapore Airlines Premium Trophy for Best Table Wine of Show and Best Swan Valley White or Red Table Wine.

Mandoon Estate won the City of Swan Trophy Exhibitor prize for achieving the highest average score from five or more entries. 

International judge for 2019 was Lim Hwee Peng, founder of Winecraft Marketing and Services and Singapore Dux of the AWRI Advanced Wine Assessment Course 2014.

Mr Lim was joined by chief judge Cath Oates along with James Godfrey, Courtney Treacher, Ann Marie Tamburri, Ray Jordan, Mike Bennie, Rachel Davenport, Lance Parkin and associate judges Jack Criddle and Cameron McKenzie.
