This Saturday's Top Trio

5 February 2019

How good are summer weekends? The sun is shining, the skies are blue and the Swan Valley is filled with a bounty of exciting things to see and do. Here's our top trio of special events happening in the Valley this Saturday, Feb 9.

Bubbles, Brushes and Brie at the Cheese Barrel

Glass of bubbles from Olive Farm Wines? Tick. Platter of creamy brie? Yes please. Add in a painting session with the talented Karen Price from Hills Visual Artistry and you've got yourself the perfect Saturday afternoon.

Classes are limited to twelve people and fill lightning fast, so lock in your tickets before they sell out.

Movies in the Vines

Movies in the Vines is back for its second showing of the season this Saturday evening, brought to you by top duo The Alliance Française de Perth and The Cheese Barrel.

The combo of French comedy under the stars paired with delicious wine and cheese is too dreamy for words, perfect for a romantic date night or for a gathering with a gaggle of your favourite friends.

This week's flick is called Some Like it Unveiled, and tells the tale of two students who find their love affair thwarted when the girl’s older brother tries to mess with his sister’s Western lifestyle. Secure your bean bag by booking your tickets now.

Chinese Lunar New Year

Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations are now underway, with 2019 celebrating the Year of the Pig.

Exciting line-ups are happening at two of the Valley's revered wineries this Saturday evening, with Sandalford Winery, WA's first China Ready and Accredited winery, offering special discounts for the entire fortnight of the Chinese Lunar New Year, and Mandoon Estate hosting a heap of fun activities including a dragon dance, live music, bouncy castle and face painting, plus a heap of yummy offerings like Peking duck pancakes, tempura fish and Chinese duck pizzas.

Due to popularity, bookings to both venues are essential!

Of course, there are plenty of other options in the Swan Valley this weekend - head over to eat and drink or see and do for more fab ideas for a fun-filled weekend.
