Visit burger heaven with Foodie Cravings 12-hour slow cooked honey pulled pork slider made with House of Honey honey.
Makes 22-24 burgers
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup of House of Honey honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1.5 - 2kg boneless pork shoulder
- 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
Add diced onion, tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, tomato paste, paprika, Worcestershire, mustard, honey, tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker and stir until combined. Add pork shoulder to the sauce mixture and turn to coat well with sauce.
Cover slow cooker with lid and cook pork mixture on a low for 10 – 12 hours. When tender, pull pork to shreds and place back into the slow cooker to coat in sauce.
- 1/4 head red cabbage thinly sliced
- 1/4 head green cabbage thinly sliced
- 2 carrots julienned
- 250ml aioli
Combine all ingredients then refrigerate
Spread aioli onto the top of the bun, spoon pork mixture onto the bottom of the sandwich buns and top with slaw before replacing top of buns.
