Food

Diversity lies at the heart of any valley dining experience. Fancy a spot of fine fare at an award-winning restaurant? Certainly. A ploughman's lunch with hand-crafted valley ales? No problem. Somewhere for the kids to enjoy themselves while you indulge in a late champagne breakfast? Just say the word.

Today, there are more than 70 restaurants and cafes in the valley, along with companies making fresh nougat, chocolate and icecream on the premises - and many of them specialising in local produce.

The Swan Valley Region has many attractions including: Areas of historic importance, the Avon/Helena and of course the Swan River system, natural bush settings, parks, reserves with excellent facilities - A great choice of perfect locations to enjoy a picnic

Because the valley's major attractions are open seven days a week, you're welcome to come out and see us anytime. Multiculturalism is alive and well in the valley, particularly in the historic town of Guildford, where you'll find a range of cuisines and two cosy pubs with attractive outdoor dining areas.

The valley is also famous for its annual food and wine festivals. We're an unpretentious lot in the valley and, above all, we want you to have fun. More and more restaurants and cafes are offering live entertainment at weekends and make a special effort to cater for children.

The Swan Valley Visitor Centre maintains an up-to-date listing of places to eat, opening hours along with a database of local produce and where to find it.
