Whiteman Park

A popular recreation and conversation reserve that is 10 times the size of Kings Park. The park has a wide range of facilities, events, and attractions for the whole family. Explore the wonderful Banksia bushland and catch a glimpse of grey kangaroos and, if you're lucky, a black gloved wallaby on one of 3 bush trails or the extensive bike paths. Visit the Children's Forest and Caversham Wildlife Park. Picnic Areas are open 7 days a week, free admission, 8.30am - 6.00pm. 

Altone Park - Benara Road, Beechboro

A unique lakeside setting in Perth’s eastern suburbs and a short three kilometres to the Swan Valley vineyards. The many facilities of Altone Park Leisure Centre are located nearby.

Lilac Hill Park - West Swan Road, Caversham

Best known for its international standard cricket facilities, Lilac Hill also has a lovely riverside area perfect for family picnics. Located on the north side of Barkers Bridge heading out from Guildford on West Swan Road, gateway to the lovely Swan Valley.

Emu Lake - Summerlakes Parade, Ballajura

In the City’s western most suburb exists a lakeside parkland area complete with playground and other facilities.

Woodlake Park - Woodlake Boulevard, Ellenbrook

A large landscaped lakeside park in the heart of Ellenbrook with a range of community facilities, including an amphitheatre, tennis courts and a community centre.

Lake Fresca - Ponte Vecchio Boulevard, Ellenbrook

A landscaped lakeside setting with a boardwalk, island and viewing tower.

Sandown Park - Sandown Circle, Ellenbrook

Multiple level lakes with waterfall features, bridges and gazebos.

Stirling Square - Meadow Street, Guildford

A recently refurbished picturesque park that is one point of interest on a self guided walk through historic Guildford. St Matthew’s Church and other cultural attractions provide links to Guildford’s pioneering past.

Kings Meadow Reserve - Hill Street, Guildford

An attractive riverside spot with great facilities for family picnics.

Fishmarket Reserve - Swan Street, Guildford

A lovely riverside spot to have a barbecue or just take in the tranquil surrounds.

Middle Swan Reserve - Middle Swan Road, Middle Swan

One of the most popular parks in the City. A handy riverside location with most amenities for your day out.

Reg Bond Reserve - Bernley Drive, Viveash

This reserve, tucked away on a bend in the Swan River, is perfect for a secluded day out with the family. Links with Woodbridge Riverside Park via the John George walk trail.

Woodbridge Riverside Park - First Avenue, Woodbridge

The riverside area has been a favourite spot with locals for many years and is now complemented with playground equipment and picnic facilities. Links with Reg Bond Reserve via the John George walk trail.

Bells Rapids - Cathedral Avenue, Brigadoon

White water rapids make this an exciting viewing spot during the Avon Decent. Perfect for a picnic or that special day out.

Burley Park Bushland - Cnr Chittering and Smith Roads, Bullsbrook

The wildflowers at this natural setting make this a great stop on a spring-time day trip. Facilities are limited, although adequate for most picnic users.

FR Berry Reserve - Reen Road, Gidgegannup

This natural bush reserve is the perfect distance for a day trip from Perth. It has become more popular in recent years due to its unspoilt bushland values.

Noble Falls - Toodyay Road, Gidgegannup

A very popular spot in a lovely bush setting with all amenities and Noble Falls Tavern located nearby.

Maaili Park - Barrett St Herne Hill

A great picnic spot on the river’s edge in the heart of the Swan Valley’s vineyards. There is a range of modern playground equipment for the children.
