Sittella Winery & Restaurant

Founded in 1998, Sittella is one of Western Australia's newest, privately owned wineries located in the Swan Valley.

Owners Simon and Maaike Berns have the support of an enthusiastic team of professionals to create and produce high quality traditional wine styles from both their own and contract vineyards throughout the Swan Valley and Margaret River region.

The winery is named after a small Australian bird, the Sittella, which abounds in the nearby tree-lined Swan River. Located in a picturesque landscape in the heart of the Swan Valley wine growing region, with the Darling Range escarpment as a backdrop the Mediterranean style earth-rendered buildings capture the essence of modern Italy, with sweeping views over our vineyards providing the ultimate location to host any occasion.

Our wines can be tasted and purchased at Sittella's cellar door and Sittella's restaurant is certainly worth a visit. A team of dedicated staff under the direction of Head Chef Mike Price produce inspiring modern Australian cuisine.

Colby Quirk is the Senior Winemaker, having recently joined Sittella and coming from his previous position as Assistant Winemaker at Faber Vineyard. In this upper river district, with the Darling Ranges to the east and the Indian Ocean to the west, the warm Mediterranean style climate provides steady winter rainfall and hot, dry summers which produces grapes of wonderful flavour, richness, balance and style. Sittella grows Verdelho, Chardonnay and Shiraz vines over 5 hectares. Recent plantings also include Tempranillo and Petit Verdot. Sittella also gathers grapes for their wines from the Margaret River wine region. Sittella offers free wine tasting for individuals and groups.

At Sittella Winery we specialise in making your next important occasion a truly memorable experience. Indoors we can cater for full sit down dining for up to 70 guests, and up to a maximum of 150 guests utilising our superb timber decked verandah. Our experienced and innovative team can offer an extensive range of tailor-made solutions to suit your every need. We cater for weddings, cocktail parties, corporate functions, product launches, birthday parties, anniversaries, sundowners & private dinners. You can select from our many menu options and we can also assist in your selection of wines to complement your menu choice.

Sittella can provide you with an Executive Boardroom for your next meeting or seminar, offering you privacy and a break from the Perth CBD whilst enjoying the picturesque Swan Valley. The team can arrange for morning and afternoon tea along with a choice of a working lunch or a 2 or 3 course sumptuous meal. The Executive Boardroom features all the latest in AV equipment to ensure your conference is a success, all while only being 35 minutes from Perth.
