Laughin Barrel, The

Behind the little old house is a hidden secret, a hideaway you would not imagine! At the scarp of the Darling Ranges, this tin shed from the outside with large paved and grassed areas for alfresco dining overlooking 12 acres of vineyards, gives The Laughin` Barrel something extra special.

We opened in July, 2010 with a history bigger than ourselves. The thing we all hold dear, past and present is our beautiful estate-grown wine. Brian and Sharon, with the help of our winemaker John Griffins of course, have expanded our range of wines - we now have a sweet style Chenin, a barrel-fermented Shiraz, a lightly oaked Chardonnay and an aged Port, adding to our wide range which also includes Sparkling, Classic, Rose, Merlot and Cabernet Merlot.

Another very special part of our business is our recently renovated restaurant with rustic wooden tables and leather high-back chairs ... very comfortable. Our wood-fired oven is beautiful, producing gourmet pizzas, homemade breads, bruschetta and paella to die for!

Brian and Sharon have had 20 years of restaurant experience and now with this exciting new venture they are bringing a fresh menu, which changes frequently. Beautiful winter warmers of lamb shanks, homemade pies, hearty steaks or fresh fish, local calamari and seasonal salads for summer.

We are available for functions, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, conferences, all occasions.
