Situated in the heart of the Swan Valley, The Henley Brook has access to some of Western Australia’s best produce. Locally grown fruit and vegetables, craft bakeries, artisan coffee and confectionery, internationally renowned craft breweries and distilleries and, of course, the oldest wineries in Western Australia.
The Henley Brook aims to showcase the best of the best of the Swan Valley.
In February of 1830, a master brickmaker from Gloucestershire, England, along with his wife and six children, arrived at the Swan River Colony aboard the vessel 'Hooghly'. Despite dramatically different conditions to their home in England, the Edwards flourished and helped establish some of the most renowned buildings of those early colonial days.
Some of those buildings are still intact today. The Henley Brook shares its location with the heritage-listed Edwards House, a c1849 mud brick cottage that was the Edwards family home. This early colonial lifestyle was the inspiration for the venue.
